We are a uniformed organisation, and each section has a different uniform top – below we provide a brief description and link to where they can be purchased;
Beavers – an aqua blue, long sleeved, poly cotton sweatshirt (Click here)
Cubs – a dark green, long sleeved, poly cotton sweatshirt (Click here)
Scouts – a dark green, long sleeved, cotton shirt (Click here)
Young Leaders – a beige, long sleeved, cotton shirt (Click here)
When a young person is invested into the 28th Hammersmith, they are presented with their core badges i.e. Group name badge, County and District badges, and the World Membership badge. As they come every week, they will get the opportunity to gain more badges and these form part of the uniform. Each badge has a specific position on the uniform – shown here.
Also known as Necker or Scarf, the neckerchief is unique to each scout group. Our neckerchief is the Cameron tartan – which is unusual this far south – for more information you can see our history here.
Young people and adult leaders all wear the same neckerchief as it shows that we all belong to the same group.
